Our Founder, Nadine Ramos
Nadine Ramos’ journey is a testament to resilience, vision, and bold leaps of faith.
Growing up in public housing on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Nadine turned a chance keratin treatment at age 20 into a life-changing moment. Inspired by her results, she worked with scientists to create her own formula and launched Lasio Professional Hair Care.
Her innovative keratin treatments revolutionized the U.S. market, transforming Lasio into a multi-million-dollar brand cherished by salon professionals worldwide.
A New Era in Hair Care
In October 2023, Nadine Ramos and her sister, Taina Del Rio, launched Blessed Bananas, a clean, sustainable hair care line powered by pure banana oil extracted from local Floridian banana peels. Driven by her customers’ demand for cleaner ingredients, Nadine created a line focused on transforming hair through scalp care.
Giving Back Full Circle
Nadine’s success fuels her mission to uplift others. She mentors young Latina entrepreneurs, partners with foster care groups for career and beauty days, and supports the church that was once her refuge.
LATINA SISTER DUO
In unity, there is strength. Nadine Ramos, a trichologist and hair stylist with a background in chemistry and product formulation, joined forces with her sister, Taina Del Rio, to found Blessed Bananas.
Taina brings her background in nursing and health which fuels the company's passion for its holistic approach.
Together, Taina's meticulous attention to detail and creativity, along with Nadine's expertise and grit, ensure the success and harmony within their operations.

A lot of us take clean water for granted. We help women in India who one day had to walk over 5 miles a day just to find clean water for their families. Since starting this initiative, we have built 12 wells and supplied clean and safe water to over 1,000 families.
