We often and quickly get stuck in the everyday hustle and may overlook the need to take care of ourselves. Self-care may look like anything from waking up 20 min earlier to meditate or sleeping in for that much needed extra rest. Whatever floats your self-care boat and allows you to reinforce your mood for the better. 

While hustling to make your goals come to reality is fantastic, all of that effort can start to take a toll on us.

Knowing to prioritize YOU and caring for yourself is essential. Self-care isn't a luxury, it's a MUST. 

Here are some of our top tips for prioritizing self-care:

  1.  Be very kind to yourself.

Acknowledge everything that you are doing, and remember to give yourself a tap on the back for how far you have come. So run your race, and be kind to yourself without comparing your journey to others.

  1. Eat healthily.

There's nothing worse than feeling awful after eating all of the wrong meals. So plan your meals and pick ingredients that will nourish your body so you can live your best life!

  1. Watch the way you communicate with yourself.

Spend an afternoon listening to how you talk to yourself. Are you continuously beating yourself up? Be intentional about communicating to yourself as you would with your best friend on their worst day. Speak positive affirmations daily!

  1. Sleep.

The advantages of a perfect night's sleep are bountiful. So set yourself up for 7 to 8 hours of sufficient sleep. Rest is a huge part of one’s routine that helps you feel better and recharged in order to take on the tasks of the next day!

  1. Treat yourself.

Do something nice for yourself: buy your favorite flowers, get a massage, purchase those shoes you’ve been stalking online, or invest in something that will make life a little easier, like a Rumba!
